About The Trip
Our annual Washington DC trips honor Veterans who served during WWII, the Korean Era, or the Vietnam Era anywhere in the world.

As a token of our appreciation for their service and sacrifice from over 60 years ago, veterans travel completely free of charge.
The cost for Guardians accompanying veterans is $1,500. This cost is 100% tax deductible and is requested to be donated at the time of approval for a trip. Honor Flight Central Oregon will handle all flight reservations, lodging arrangements, and other bookings for all Guardians.
Flight Itinerary
Day 1 - Wednesday
We leave early on a Wednesday morning, and typically arrive in Washington D.C. at about 3-4 p.m. Upon arrival, we load on a chartered bus which will take us to our hotel for check in and dinner.
Day 2 - Thursday
Our first full day in Washington DC begins with a breakfast at the hotel. From there we’re off to stops like the National Archives, Lincoln, Korean, and Vietnam Memorials. Then we tour the U.S. Capitol, visit the Navy Memorial and WWI Memorial, and then head to dinner and back to the hotel.
Day 3 - Friday
The excursions continue on day three to the Arlington National Cemetery, Changing of the Guards at the Tomb of the Unknowns, visit Women in Military Service Memorial, Marine Corps Memorial, WWII Memorial, FDR Memorial, MLK Memorial, Jefferson Memoria, Air Force Memorial, and then back to the hotel for dinner.
Day 4 - Saturday
Depart the hotel to fly home. Veterans and Guardians will be met with a Welcome Home Celebration.
*Most of our breakfasts and dinners are eaten at the hotel, and we usually have a box lunch brought to meet us where we are at that time.
